How to Add an Email Address to your Safe Senders' List

How to Add an Email Address to your Safe Senders' List

An increasing number of e-mail clients (Outlook, AOL, Hotmail, etc.) are including spam blockers that can affect delivery and display of some e-mail messages. This means that sometimes those desired e-mail communications might not reach you, or they might be displayed without images.
To ensure that you continue receiving your e-mail or your subscriptions, and that they display properly, we recommend adding the email address or domain to your list of safe senders. Here are some instructions to help you do that:

  • Outlook 2007 or Outlook 2003: You have several options to choose from:
  1. Go to "Actions" on your e-mail menu bar. Select "Junk E-mail" from your pulldown menu. Select "Add Sender to Safe Senders List."
  2. Right-click in the message and select "Add the Sender to Safe Senders List".
  3. Go to Tools on the menu bar. Select "Options" in the pull-down menu. Under "Preferences", select "Junk E-mail". Then click on the "Safe Sender" tab. Click the "Add" button. Type the email address of the sender in the text box.

  • Outlook Express:
  1. Go to "Actions" on your e-mail menu bar. Select "Junk E-mail" from your pulldown menu. Select "Add Sender to Safe Senders List."
  2. Right-click in the message and select "Add the Senderto Safe Senders List".
  3. Go to Tools on the menu bar. Select "Options" in the pull-down menu. Under "Preferences", select "Junk E-mail". Then click on the "Safe Sender" tab. Click the "Add" button. Type the email address of the sender in the text box.

  • AOL 9: You can do either of the following:
  1. Add the e-newsletter mail address to your address book.
  2. Reply to the newsletter. If you reply to your email, AOL will automatically put the e-newsletter address in your address book.

  • AOL 8:
  1. Open the e-mail.
  2. Click the "Add Address" icon on the right.
  3. The e-mail address is pre-populated in the "Contact Details" pop-up
  4. Verify that the pre-populated information is correct
  5. Click "Save"

  • MSN Hotmail:
  1. Go to the "Options" page.
  2. On the left side of the page, click "Mail," and then click "Junk E-Mail Protection."
  3. Click "Add Senders to Safe List."
  4. Type out the email address of the sender and then click "Add."

  • Yahoo! Mail:
  1. Use the "Not Spam" button to report messages you want in your Inbox that were delivered to your Bulk folder.

  • Earthlink: If you have the e-newsletter e-mail address in your Address Book, Earthlink will not block it.
  1. Go to your Address Book, click the "Add" button. You only need to enter the e-mail address under Internet Information.

  • Gmail:
    1. Open the e-mail
    2. Click "More Options" in the e-mail header.
    3. Click "Add Sender to Contact List"

  • Apple Mail

  3. Choose Message  >  Mark  >  As Not Junk Mail

Steps to install SSL

Steps to install SSL

Installing your SSL Certificate can be summarised into below 5 steps
Decide on your preferred SSL Product
Determine if you just need a quick and basic SSL or much trusted verification. This will depended if you need just a domain verified SSL or a more trusted Organisation Vetted to the most secured Extended Validated SSL, then make your purchase and complete the ordering process.
Creating your Certificate Signing Request (CSR)
A Certificate Signing Request (usually referred to as a CSR) is a block of encrypted text file generated on a Web Server that the SSL Certificate will be installed on – the server hosting the domain name or hostname contained within the Certificate. The CSR contains information included within the Certificate, typically Organization Name, Common Name (domain name), Locality and Country.
The CSR will be passed to the Certificate Authority during the Certificate application process, parsed and the information it contained is vetted in accordance with the type of Certificate being applied for. At the time the server creates the CSR a private key is also created. This is cryptographically “married” to the CSR (and hence the issued Certificate), meaning that if the private key is lost before the Certificate is installed, a new CSR will need to be generated.
Time to be Vetted
Depending on your selection of SSL, time need for vetting differ from few minutes to few days. A domain verified SSL required only a few minutes, while Organisation and Extended validated SSL will subject to a few days depending on your submission of required documents.
Installing your SSL Certificate
Once the Certificate has been issued it needs to be installed on to the server. Installing is usually straight forward but the method of installation will differ for each type of server software. Full instructions for all servers are available below based on your SSL Brand:
Install your Secure Site Seal (if any)
The final stage of using SSL is to install the trust enhancing Secure Site Seal.  You can install the SSL Secure Site Seal by adding a simple script into your web pages. We recommend you place the Secure Site Seal on any pages being secured by your SSL Certificate. For your convenience you can select different sizes and file types (static gif images or animated Flash seals).
GlobalSign SSL customers can obtain the Secure Site Seal code fromhttp://www.globalsign.com/support/ssl-site-seal.html.
